01 — The challenge and context

Modernizing an established regional children's dairy brand to enable federal retail expansion and re-engage modern families.

On the market since 2002, the Toptyzhka brand sells a broad product range including UHT milk, glazed cottage cheese bars, milkshakes, and ice cream. However, as consumer habits evolved and modern digital media transformed children's entertainment, the brand's original visual identity and promotional strategy lost relevance.

To expand beyond regional markets and secure shelf placement in national retail chains, Milkom needed a complete brand overhaul. Mildberry was tasked with redefining the target audience, developing a new brand strategy and communication platform, and redesigning the brand character and packaging system.

02 — What we did

Creating a dual-audience strategy, a modern mascot, and an adventure focused content framework.

Mildberry overhauled the brand ecosystem to address the dual needs of kids and parents simultaneously, creating a shared space where children find fun and mothers feel confident.

01

Mapping psycho-social development stageAudience Profiling & Segment Refinement

To build a focused brand core, we analyzed children's psycho-social profiles and narrowed the target audience from a broad 3–12 range down to 5–8 years old. This specific developmental stage is defined by cooperative play, verbal communication, and active exploration, allowing us to tailor visual and narrative hooks precisely to how children learn and socialize.

02

Balancing child insights with parent expectationsStrategic Positioning

Addressing two target audiences with different motivations required a dual-focused positioning strategy. While mothers seek safe, high-quality nutrition, children look for fun and independence. We anchored the new strategic platform in the idea of "Safe Adventures"—a framework that gives kids a sense of freedom and quest-led exploration while reassuring mothers that the environment and product quality remain fully controlled and secure.

03

Transforming the mascot into a cinematic CGI companionCharacter Design & Visual Identity

We replaced the outdated, flat 3D bear illustration with hyper-realistic CGI animation techniques used in modern animated feature films. Toptyzhka was redesigned as an older, energetic friend and adventure buddy with fully developed personality traits, facial expressions, wardrobe details, and environmental lore. The brand logo and packaging graphics were modernized while retaining key elements for existing brand recognition.

04

Bridging the gap between parents and childrenIntegrated Communication & Content Strategy

We developed an integrated communication platform and content management strategy across digital and offline channels. The framework offers interactive games, crafts, and outdoor activity ideas for kids, while providing parents with expert advice on child development, joint leisure ideas, and transparent product nutrition information.

03 — The outcome

A contemporary, scalable brand ecosystem that empowered Toptyzhka to enter national retail networks.

Mildberry delivered a fully refreshed brand identity, modular packaging design, and a digital content roadmap. By evolving Toptyzhka into an engaging, multi-channel storyteller, the brand successfully re-established relevance with modern families and unlocked new growth opportunities across federal retail channels.
