01 — The challenge and context

Overcoming consumer skepticism toward private-label baby products by establishing emotional trust and proven European quality.

While retail private-label brands have expanded rapidly, low pricing alone is rarely enough to win over parents, who are unwilling to compromise on safety and comfort for their children. In the baby care category, shoppers consistently favor established, highly trusted global brands.

To enter this sensitive market, global hygiene manufacturer Ontex partnered with supermarket chain Lenta and turned to Mildberry to create a brand from scratch. The strategic objective was to launch a new diaper brand for Lenta that could overcome private-label stigma, build instant credibility, and carve out a distinct, competitive positioning in a crowded category.

02 — What we did

Creating an emotional brand platform, name, packaging system, and content strategy centered on mother-child bonding.

Mildberry positioned the brand not as a budget utility, but as a caring, expert assistant for young mothers.

01

Focusing on moments of closenessStrategic Positioning & Naming

Our market research revealed an uncaptured positioning opportunity around the intimate daily interactions between mother and child. We framed the brand as an expert yet warm assistant that supports safe care and joyful parenting. To reinforce this concept, we developed the name "Little Times," highlighting the value of precious, fleeting moments spent with a baby.

02

Transforming the pack into an advice platformIntegrated Packaging Communication

With traditional media channels limited, we turned the product packaging into the primary brand storyteller. We integrated helpful advice on balanced parenting alongside clear functional benefits, establishing an approachable "helper" tone. Visual cues featuring authentic mother-and-child imagery replaced generic category tropes to deliver strong shelf standout.

03

Extending trust beyond the retail shelfDigital Content Strategy

To support the launch, we developed informative content tailored for Lenta’s digital platforms and resource portals. This educational messaging provided parents with practical guidance on baby care, reinforcing brand authority and driving online-to-offline customer engagement.

03 — The outcome

A highly trusted private-label brand that successfully redefined consumer expectations in retail baby care.

Mildberry provided Ontex and Lenta with a complete brand system—from naming and visual identity to packaging and digital strategy. By prioritizing emotional closeness alongside European product quality, Little Times effectively built parent trust, standing out on supermarket shelves as an authentic, high-value alternative to legacy market leaders.
