Adapting global sustainable design for local retail markets.

Global sustainability initiatives often face significant hurdles when communicating complex eco-credentials on fast-moving local retail shelves.
As part of Johnson & Johnson’s Consumer Health Division's commitment to environmental responsibility, key consumer brands set out to transition toward recyclable packaging and eco-friendly formulas. As part of this initiative, the international brand Le Petit Marseillais launched a new line of organic shower gels featuring 100% natural ingredients, 99% biodegradable formulas, and certifications from Cosmebio and EcoCert.
The core adaptation challenge was bringing this global organic lineup—spanning five distinct scents including Olive Leaves, Verbena & Lemon, Sweet Almond, Peach & Nectarine, and Wild Blueberry—to the CIS market. Mildberry needed to adapt the international packaging system to ensure the line's key organic benefits and eco-credentials were clearly communicated and immediately recognizable on local store shelves.
Enhancing global visual assets with targeted local packaging elements to maximize eco-benefit messaging.
To launch the certified organic lineup across the CIS region, Mildberry executed a seamless packaging adaptation that combined global brand standards with localized functional design.
We adapted the international packaging guidelines for the five-SKU organic shower gel line to align with regional market standards. The adaptation balanced strict global brand consistency with localized messaging, ensuring regulatory compliance while maintaining brand integrity.
To clearly convey the product's 100% natural composition and EcoCert/Cosmebio certifications, we complemented the core bottle design with a custom cardboard holder. This structural addition provided dedicated space to highlight key sustainability benefits, driving immediate shelf visibility and consumer trust.
A successful market entry that clearly communicates organic credentials while honoring global brand standards.
The localized packaging system enabled Le Petit Marseillais to launch its organic line across the CIS region with clear, persuasive messaging. By introducing practical structural elements like the benefit-driven cardboard holder, Mildberry helped bridge the gap between global sustainability goals and local point-of-sale engagement.
The adapted line successfully highlighted the brand's eco-friendly credentials, allowing consumers to easily identify certified organic products while reinforcing Johnson & Johnson's overarching commitment to human health and environmental responsibility.
